Learning to follow
We hold the Bible as God's inspirational word to mankind. We use the Bible as a standard, aligning our lives with it,
instead of trying to conform or contort it's words to validate our lifestyles. Why would anyone choose to give up their free will?
We aren't. We have found that our lives don't seem to work when we make up the rules. Or should I say, when we become God.
Following Christ or pursuing Him is our desire. Jesus never begged anyone to follow Him and he never chased anyone.
We also, have had our own individual personal experiences with Jesus.
This is not a boast, but it's something that happens when you ask God to forgive your sins and believe that Jesus died on the cross for them.
Everyone is different, but everyone has one thing in common. We are born into a selfish world and we are selfish.
What can we do to fix ourselves? Nothing.
The Bible says that we are slaves to sin. So are we stuck with this word called sin, or should I call it anger, or alcholism, or an eating disorder, or...
You see you can't change yourself. You can attempt to control yourself, but are you truly free? Jesus offers freedom. Check out
Knowing Christ on the website and see if it makes sense.
Jesus said, "Therefore go, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit", Matthew 28:19.
Is there a difference between a disciple and a believer?
