We Pursue Christ
In a neighborhood near you.
Here is the Idea. What if I have a barbeque at my house and I invite a few friends.
We eat, we share what's going on in our lives at the table or in the back yard and we pray for each other.
I do that each Saturday for the first three Saturdays of the month.
The last Saturday of the month, we have a meal at someone elses house, who is in the group.
After a period of time, the group may grow to a size of about ten to fifteen people and then whoever
in the group was comfortable with having the group at their house, starts one at their house.
What's the agenda? Hopefully, none. The problem will be, when people get involved. They usually mess it up.
And then we go back to the one and only premise. We pursue Christ. We get on our knees and pray and just seek God.
We don't know if this is the future of what it looks like to follow Christ. What is true, though, is that the first generation of Christ followers met in houses.
"Greet the brothers who are in Laodicea, and Nymphas, and the assembly that is in his house. Colossians 4:15
Paul Said, "how I didn't shrink from declaring to you anything that was profitable, teaching you publicly and from house to house",Acts 20:20
"But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers. John 4:23

If you search "house church" on the internet, you will find more sites.
These were the first sites that came up. I am not endorsing any of them, at this point. Learn for yourself.
I would encourage fellow followers of Christ to step out and start a small group.
I was under the impression that I needed to be under a church covering and approved by a pastor to be allowed to meet.
Whe Jesus died on the cross, the veil was torn in the temple, from the top to the bottom (Luke 23:44).
This signified that God was allowing everyone to come to know Him and that we entered into an age where we didn't need priests to go before God, for us.
I believe that as we personally follow Christ, He will lead each of us to our own ministry. Not as someone who sits in a pew, but filled with the Holy Spirit walking in the power of the Spirit, Like Peter and Paul.
Not everyone is excited about house churchs and maybe it's not for everyone.
What do I want out of this website? To encourage others to step out and trust God.
Do I want to start a movement? I'm a little late on that.
What is the financial return on my investment for this site? Nothing.
What does it cost to operate this website? $15.00 a year to register the domain name.
How do we make our living? We own a secular business, W.W. Grigg LLC.
What are we hoping to accomplish? To break down the barriers that keep people from pursuing God.
